Born and raised in Manchester, I'm a proud Gen Xer, aged 53. After 20 years together, my partner Colin and I got married in 2022. We're both lifelong Manchester City supporters, and Colin holds season tickets for both the men's and women's teams. We share our home with two cats, Roman and Dolly.

For the past four years, I’ve managed a small engineering office with a diverse mix of football fans, which makes for some lively Monday morning discussions during the season. My love for football started in my teens, despite an early childhood experience at Old Trafford that initially put me off the sport. By the mid-80s, I found myself supporting City, largely influenced by my family's blue allegiance and my affinity for the underdog.

Living in Fallowfield during my time at Manchester University, I could hear the roars from Maine Road just one street away, which deepened my connection to the club. I’ve been a dedicated follower of the women's team since their reformation 11 years ago and have held a season ticket for the past few years.

Having grown up in a politically active household, I’ve always been passionate about equality. I’ve never personally faced sexism at games, but I’m always ready to challenge outdated attitudes when I encounter them. While I’ve distanced myself from Twitter due to its negative environment, I find Instagram to be a more positive space for football discussions.

I’m a strong supporter of the Her Game Too movement, recognising its importance in promoting inclusivity in football. I believe in the power of grassroots efforts to create a supportive and welcoming environment for all fans.
