I have been an Ambassador for Darlington since November 2023. I came across Her Game Too via social media and was really interested and impressed with the work that they do. I wanted to be part of it!

 

I became interested in football because of my son. He played football and also wanted to go and watch DFC play but, due to his age at the time, he couldn’t go alone so I took him. The phrase "if you can’t beat them, join them” springs to mind.

 

Along with my fellow HGT Ambassadors, I would love to see more football clubs partner with HGT, as well as to spread the message within my community.

 

I would like to see each club become part of HGT, and see the brand and vision grow. HGT needs to be the first point of contact for women and girls who experience sexism and misogyny.

 

As an ambassador for Her Game Too, I want to actively promote HGT’s vision, tackle sexism in football, promote equality and ensure football is a sport for all. It should be a welcoming environment for everyone.

 

As well as playing an active role at my own club, I will also extend this to schools and junior teams in my area.
